Chapter Twenty-Nine
Mauri POV
After I put lingerie on under my dress, I met Mario at the car to take me to the club. As much as I tried to stay behind and force myself to stay in my room, my legs wouldn’t let me. Seth was already in the backseat waiting for me, so instead of getting in the back with him, I got in the front with Mario. It was an awkward car ride, to say the least.
I cannot believe he would compel me again. After everything him and I have been through. I was stupid to think that I was anything more than a pet to him. Lilith was right. He only wants to use me, he KNOWS what I am – I saw it in his eyes. As soon as he has no more use for me, he will throw me to the side and seek out another.
