He likes you

Alexander's POV I observed Aria closely, as she sent four men into the house with sprayers, fully hazmatted out, to get started. She explained how the industrial vacuum worked. One of them would have to stay outside and empty it, while the other used the hose to suck up the insulation. When she took her final step back, the sun glistened off her skin. A bead of sweat ran down her neck, between her breasts, making me envious. She gave the appearance of having just done a whole day's worth of work in less than two hours. And, honestly? She had. "Can I have a moment of your time now?", I teased, raising an eyebrow at her. The way her lips parted, and her breath hitched, didn't go unnoticed by me. Every single one of her reactions, have not gone under my radar. She is mine, and she doesn't even know it yet. This thought brought a smirk to my lips, as I eyed her. "Of course", she answered softly, taking a sip of water. I handed her a file. She took it curiously, opening it, she read the first line and shook her head. "Got it", she smiled, remembering that she hadn't signed an NDA yet. She took the file to her front seat. She grabbed a pen and bent at the waist to sign the paper. I couldn't help myself fantasizing about how good she would feel in my hands. I subconsciously looked up, noticing a few of the men on the roof were also mesmerized by her ass. I stood and made my way to stand behind her to block their view. As she turned to face me, my presence startled her. "Jesus, Alex. That's a good way to get hit", she panted, putting her hand to her heart. I smirked. "I didn't mean to startle you, princess", I smirked. She handed me the file, but I sat it back on the driver's seat, and took her hand in mine. "This way, princess", I uttered, leading her towards the back of the house. We weaved through dense bushes and vines. The first time I came here, I saw a gazebo out back through one of the second story windows. "Alex, where are you taking me?", she giggled, dodging branches. "You'll see", I taunted with a sly smirk. The gazebo popped into view. "Wow", she uttered, following me into the overgrown area. "I saw this the first time I toured this house. Plus, it isn't as nosy here", I explained. With her hand still in mine, I drew her into my arms. Her breath hitched, as she placed her hands on my chest. She fit perfectly in my arms. "Alex", she whispered breathily. "How are you, princess? After last night?", I uttered tenderly. Her eyes snapped up to meet mine, her cheeks and neck flushing with color. The side she showed me last night is the side that I want her to feel comfortable enough to show me all the time. I need her to know that she doesn't have to hide any part of herself from me. She doesn't have to mask her feelings, and put on armor. I'll protect her for her. "I'm good", she nodded, adjusting her hat. When she placed her hands back on my chest, her chest heaved heavily. I could detect a slight shake in her body. "Aria", I muttered, drawing her attention back up to me. "I want to make this backyard a playground heaven for Colin", I told her. Her eyes went wide with surprise. "W-what? For Colin? Why?", she stuttered, taken aback by my admission. "You know why, Aria. You just refuse to accept it, giving excuses on why you need to dodge it", I whispered, gently stroking her jawline. My eyes traveled back to hers. I can see her soul. I swear I can. The purity. The fear of abandonment. The need to be loved and cared for. And the need to prove to people that's not what she needs. "I want you, Aria. To be mine. That's why I bucked at my own father. I knew you were going to be mine when you sat down at that lunch table with a busted lip and a smile on your beautiful face", I admitted, my mouth ghosted hers as I spoke. "Then, I met your son. A spitting image of his mother, ready to go to war for her. While healing in his own way. I can help him, Aria. You have my word, that I will love that little guy like my own, always", I told her. Her lips were parted, our breaths mingled, and her eyes were locked on mine. "We don't know anything about one another, Alex", she whispered, with another excuse. "We will", I spoke, closing the distance between us. I was gentle and sweet, catching her attention. Our lips parted, but I didn't pull back. Instead, I wrapped my hand around the back of her neck and pulled her back to me in a more domineering kiss. Aria's hands fisted my dress shirt, as she let a soft moan escape her throat. I groaned, reaching down with my free hand, I fisted her thigh right below her ass, and lifted her up. Her legs instantly wrapped around my waist. I smirked, as I walked further into the gazebo. I pushed passed some vines, and sat her on the banister. I pulled her bottom lip between my teeth, making her mouth fall open, giving me access so I could shove my tongue in her mouth. She moaned, as my hands traced her curves. This woman is a goddess. Crafted by God's hands, for mine. Pulling out of the kiss, I rested my forehead on hers. Her breathing was erratic, making me smile with pride. "Do you feel comfortable here?", I asked, concernedly. "Yeah", she nodded, still a bit out of breath. "Did you bring a gun with you today?", I questioned. I know that I am hounding her with questions, but that was the whole point of talking privately. Well, that, and the kiss we just shared. "No", she answered, confusedly. She tilted her head to the side. She looked adorable, staring back at me. I grinned, kissing her nose, before I reached my hands behind my back. I pulled the gun from my waistband. I checked the chamber, making sure it was cleared. I held the gun out for her, but she held her hands up and shook her head. "I don't need it. Thank you, though. Really", she uttered, with a soft smile. "Do you know the type of men you are working with, princess?", I growled. Why does she refuse to carry? "No. But, I know myself. And it would only put your men and myself in danger for me to have that", she uttered, looking away uncomfortably. I frowned. I unfortunately do not have time to dig into why that was her response. I have a meeting soon that I need to be prepared for, if I want to make all of this work. I gave up on it, and put my gun back in my waistband. I tenderly grasped her chin and made her look back at me. "Then call me if you have any trouble, okay?", I spoke, eyeing her carefully. She nodded her head, relaxing more. "I can do that", she agreed. I smiled as I tucked a few loose strands of hair behind her ear. "Please be careful today, princess", I whispered. Aria's hands slowly came back up to rest on my chest. "I would never forgive myself", I admitted. "I will be fine. I promise", she nodded with a gentle smile. My thumb mindlessly traced her bottom lip. "How was Colin last night? After I left", I inquired, gazing into her irises. "He likes you", she grinned.
