I picked Colin up from my mother's house on the way home from work. "Is Mr. Alex coming over today?", he asked excitedly, as we walked through the front door. I smiled softly, even though my heart clenched slightly. What if things don't work out between us? Colin will be devastated. "Yes he is. I invited him to dinner. Is that okay?", I questioned. Colin danced around excitedly. "Yes, yes, yes", he chanted. "Okay, big shot. Get your chores done. I am going to take a quick shower before I cook dinner. Think about something you want to eat", I informed him.
