JAX’S POV

After Aaron let Celeste in , she sat with me , crying for about two hours .
“Stop it .” I snap harshly , feeling terrible for raising my voice at her .
My chest hurt as she gasps , staring at me with glassy eyes , her cheeks rosy and tear stained .
“I’m sorry .” She sniffs , tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear .
I sign , shaking my head .
If this was only going to harm me , it would have been fine , I would have outed Alison and died with dignity , but with my mate crying and holding onto me for dear life , well let’s just say I can’t let her down .
“No , I’m sorry . I just .. don’t you worry okay ? I will take care of you - no matter what , got it ?” I raise my eyebrows at her , staring into her blue eyes that makes my chest feel warmth and at home .
“Okay .”
