We all stopped and looked at Yaritza then I looked at my mate, Uriel. Yaga and Sonia already knew who Layana was, so I’m glad we didn’t have to explain. Uriel just stood there looking at Yaritza. I knew this was hard for him. It was already hard to leave Layana behind but that’s what she had wanted. She wanted to help this way and Uriel agreed as long as she always had her guards with her and stayed close to the safe house.
