I appreciate his comforting words, but deep down, the unresolved mystery gnaws at me, leaving me with an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach.
"What do you remember of your stay here?" he asks, cautiously, wiping my face with a tissue. I swallow hard, taking in a couple of deep breaths.
"Just spending time here. Getting close with Daniel and there are three other people I got to know." I frown, flashes of moments with them and a silent man accompanying them surfacing in my mind. It's as if he was just there, his words and actions concealed from my senses.
"Who?"
"Em Pete, Philip, and Manuel. There's another man who has always been present during those moments, but his form and actions are silent to me."
"Do you remember your relationship with those three?"
"I-I remember..
