Howard didn't even see that I was unhappy.
He was still discussing with Gina the interesting things that happened in the past, and when it came to the happy scene, he would actively recount the situation with me.
In fact, I did not want to participate in their conversation at all and even hoped that they could find a place where I could not see; at least, I would be in a much better mood.
But I couldn't ruin Howard's mood; it would be rude to do so. So I kept smiling and nodding but didn't open my mouth to say another word.
Maybe there's a unique sense between women.
I thought Gina must have seen how lost I was, which was why she took the initiative to end her chat with Howard and let him go and treat his wounds.
