I saw how Andrei’s face changed from uncertainty to shock when I said those words, but I was being serious. I am tired of being this little wimp that gets shoved around at school. I am tired of my step-father beating me up every chance he gets. I am tired. I want to be somebody. I want to be able to defend myself when it comes to people trying to pick on me, or when my step-father raises his hand to me. I want to be able to find the strength to yell at my mother for never sticking up for me and letting this bastard of a man attack me.
