I watched Andrei walk out of the door with Ma and I could feel my shyness starting to creep up on me.
“Alright, come on. You must be hungry.” Mom, Skylar, says. I turn to her with a smile. She gave me a smile but then a knowing look. “I already made you a plate at the dinner table so you don’t have to do anything but sit down and eat. I will be sitting on one side of you and I think Dola will be sitting on the other side of you. I know how shy and nervous you are so I figured this would be the best way to make you comfortable.”
“Thank you.” I tell her with a sigh of relief. I didn’t expect her to do any of this so I was very thankful. Mom just wrapped her arm around me while leading me to the dinner table.
