I couldn't bring myself to look at Pierce still. I was too embarrassed. I just wanted him to leave. Suddenly, I saw his hands move toward my face. I squeezed my eyes shut hard as I waited for the onslaught. I wasn't sure if Pierce was going to hit me, grab me, or hurt me some other way. However, all I felt was the release of my wrists. My eyes opened as I pulled my wrists to my chest and started to rub them. Pierce reached out to grab one of my hands, but I yanked it back.
