Zacharias couldn’t believe his eyes when one day, his brother George brought Bridgette into his manor. He had been looking for the woman for a long time and he didn’t find any trace regarding her whereabouts. “Where have you been all this time, milady?” He inquired.
"Why are you staring at me, Zacharias?"
"Can't I?" Instead of responding directly, Zacharias asked her a question.
"If I may say so, it's unsettling for me."
Zacharias narrowed his eyes at the woman, unable to think of a reason why she disliked his attention. "How come you become closer to my brother, George?" Zacharias realized he should have known better than to ask such a sensitive question after seeing the woman's crimson cheeks and blazing eyes.
Bridgette immediately turned her gaze to Zacharia
