I drove into my parent's compound, pulling to a stop and turned off the engine.
I walked out and went to the other side of the car, opening it and helping my mom out.
"Thank you, sweetie." She said, smiling warmly as we walked into the house.
Kai immediately rushed to us as soon as I opened the door, jumping into my arms. My dad had baby-sat him today, while I went to the hospital with my mom.
"Mommy! I missed you so much!" Kai cried, clinging onto me.
I smiled.
"I missed you too, my little munchkin. I'm sorry I was gone the whole day, but I will make it up to you."
He beamed, giving me a toothy grin.
"How did the doctors appointment go?" Dad asked, and took a seat beside mom, placing her head on his lap as he started running his fingers through her hair.
