“You’ve been silent today, love. What’s going on inside your head? Are you okay?” he stopped signing the papers in front of him as he observed me.
I shook my head. “I-I’m fine,” I lied. Averting my gaze away from him and pretending to fix my shoes. I’ve been sitting here on the chair in beside him for a couple of hours.
“If you say so,” Tomás shrugged his shoulders and resumed signing the paperwork. I’ve been staring at him while we’re at his office.
Tomás doesn’t want me to do the job anymore. What he wanted me to do is to sit beside him and nothing else. I still receive my salary from him. Of course, I felt bad because it seemed unfair.
