Chapter 55: Can Intuitions Go Wrong?
“Goodbye, Elliot. I’ll see you tomorrow in my office,” Tomás kissed Elliot’s cheek before he stood up and left their apartment.
*door closes*
Mary took a deep breath causing Elliot to bow his head in embarrassment.
“I’m not happy,” Mary said.
“M-Mom,” Elliot replied worriedly.
The man looked up at his mother. Mary’s face was serious, and there was no trace of joy or happiness on her face.
“When did that started?”
“H-Huh? What started?”
Mary caressed her temples. “Elliot, I’m not a villain in your love life. It’s my job as a mother to protect your mental health here and as well as your heart,” Mary defended herself.
Elliot nodded softly. “I understand, Mom,”
“Good then. Now, be honest with me, has anything happened to you and Tomás? If so,
