342 CHAPTER 39 The Karasberge, German South West Africa, 1906‘What are you looking at?’ the Schutztruppe guard asked Liesl in German. Liesl rolled over in the sand, onto her belly, but she felt the man’s fingers on her forearm, biting into her flesh.
