Chapter 8
The healer returned moments later and administered some herbs to Alycia, which would be used to flush her system.
After which she left, leaving Rowen and Alycia still on the bed.
"Are you feeling okay now? You hurt anywhere?" Rowen asked as he watched her with narrowed eyes.
Alycia shook her head. She was feeling queasy after drinking the bitter herbs. She began to climb off the bed, tossing the sheets aside as she did so.
"We should get going. Your brother must have exhausted his patience by now." She said sharply, her tone hard.
As soon as she stepped foot on the bare floor, her vision blurred. Rowen caught her just before she fell.
"I am fine," she snapped, snatching her arms away from him.
"Clearly not. You do not seem fine, Princess" he stared at her in surprise,
