I decided not to waste time, grabbed my back and stormed out of the office. I could deal with Harmony and coven matters later, but if something happened to Hunter… I would never forgive myself.
I was strong and yet I always had a well-built support system. If something happened to me, a lot of people would come to the rescue. But all that Hunter had now was me. I owed it to him and couldn’t ignore that awful gut feeling inside of me that was telling me that he was in danger.
I jumped into my car and drove straight to the house in the woods. Luckily, it wasn’t too far away. Without thinking twice, I ran inside. It did not help that everything was still upside down. But I could tell that Hunter wasn’t there. The house was empty.
