I didn’t have much to say to Rin; the only thing I was really interested in was where Cal had gone, and the way she was fawning over me was making it difficult for me to concentrate. I was right that Rin had already found somebody to replace me - the young woman was brimming with confidence as she breezed into the room and I saw Rin cringe because it was awkward for her to introduce us.
