I returned to the room I had slept in after breakfast and found that there was a beautiful dress laid out on the bed waiting for me. I picked it up and felt the soft gossamer fabric slip through my fingers as I gazed down at it and appreciated the pale silvery blue silk. I wondered whether Lydia or Mila had worn this before me, or if it might be part of some grand wardrobe that Caius lent out to the women who stayed in this Villa with him.
