I stayed overnight with Marius - we didn’t share a bed, or even a room, but I was drunk enough that returning to Caius’ Villa did not seem wise, and I was confident that he did not see Marius as a threat, and that he would not do anything to hurt his former General. I expected my head to be spinning when I woke up in the morning, but I was perfectly lucid and I didn’t even have a hint of a headache despite how much I had been drinking with Marius. We had a meal together before I left, and he was kind enough to prepare a small package of food for me to take back so that I would not be reliant on Caius for my meals for the next few days. I didn’t know what to expect when I got back, but I hoped I would not bump into Caius until I had put the food away in my room and straightened myself up
