I hated the idea of going back to the Villa, but Jax had just told me that he would find me later and I thought it might actually be better if he came to the Villa because that would mean Caius couldn’t accuse us of anything.
It would hurt him to know that I was still friends with Jax, and he had only warned me not to spend time alone with Jax - spending time with him at the Villa was not going against his demands.
The only other place I could have gone was back to Marius’ place, and so I convinced myself that going back to the Villa was the better option and that it was not letting Caius win.
I wasn’t sure what Jax actually wanted, or if he had said that to appease me.
Perhaps he assumed I had gone to the room looking for him.
