Caius was in awe of me. I was everything he had ever dreamed of and he clearly couldn’t believe that I was just as perfect as he had hoped when he first saw me and decided that I was the one he wanted. He took a step towards me, but I remained unmoving in his chair. I wasn’t going to move until that image had been burned into his mind. I wanted to remember this moment when he finally realized I was going to end him, and that he would be powerless to stop me. He sat at the long dining table - right at the end, the opposite end of the hall to me. The distance between us almost made me smile. He was afraid to approach me. He still hadn’t said a word, and for all I cared he could never say a word to me again. I wasn’t interested in explanations and excuses anymore. I wanted my revenge.
