A Good Woman

1011 Words

I felt awful when I got back to my room at Caius’ Villa, and I couldn’t top questioning what might have happened to Jax if I wasn’t there, and why he had been fighting like that with one of the people he was supposed to be civil with. He could have died, and he could have been killed for the fact he did not respect the rules of the fight.  His injury was awful, and it would leave him with a weakness every time he fought for months. Caius had walked me to my room when we returned, and I let him run his hands over my body as he told me how wonderful it had been to spend time with me. There was no mention of Jax, but he was all I could think of as I lay awake in bed on my own and I was thinking through everything he said searching for what it really meant and why he had done what he did.
