FREYA’S POV
Watching the mother and daughter reunited gave me nothing but joy. I stood by the window and watched Debra and Amy. Debra was filled with joy as she tried to put Amy to sleep. I took a deep breath as I came to the realization that I no longer had to go into any agreement with Selene concerning the issue of telling the branch at South America to withdraw from the vampire territory they had just uncovered. It was a difficult choice to make and inasmuch as I wanted to save Amy, I could not bring myself to declare such an order as many other lives would be lost in the process. But now, I was free, the AVH branch could continue their hunt for vampires at that territory and I we also had Amy.
While I was filled with joy, staring at Amy as she slept in her mother’s arms, I realized
