Shannon’s POV.
The drive to the sheriff’s office is silent. I don’t want to think about everything that has happened, because it has happened so fast. It was only three days ago that my world imploded. Not from what Dan did but from the call from Bear.
I always thought my father was invincible and Shane, as annoying as he is, was, he would have been just like dad. Now they are both gone with a woman I never got the opportunity to meet and now I’m here left to look after Shane and Lily’s beautiful baby girls.
“Shan, we’re here.” Stinger says and I gulp down the knot in my throat and look out the windshield and he is right. We are here.
“You are not doing this alone, sweetheart. We are all beside you. One day at a time.” Stinger says before he hugs me and I hug him back.
