We have been back for a few days now. Shannon has refused her pain meds. She is more awake and alert. But I can tell she is thinking about what we learned at the meeting. Shannon isn’t letting anything bother her, though. She is still present and playing with Chance.
She is still healing, and today we are going to see the baby. She needs this. She needs to see the good in the bad. We all need this.
