Chase’s POV. Ruby has been discharged from the hospital, and we are heading back to the clubhouse. I already called Shannon again to tell her and she was surprisingly calm about it all, calculating even. Then again, I forget that she is the daughter of one of the best bail bondsmen in the country and that she has always been the one to see the finer details. “Remember what I said, Ruby. You look at anyone in a way I don’t like, you are not just gone; you will be dead.” I say to her as I walk her up the steps of the clubhouse.
