Xenia felt her breath catch.

Without hesitation, Xenia refused. "I promised Mr. Shaw I would always stay by his side."
How could she willingly leave Mr. Shaw?
If Mr. Shaw found out she had made such a decision on her own, he would undoubtedly be furious!
More importantly, she couldn't imagine a life where she would never see him again.
