The brilliance of the sun was just beginning to take over the sky outside the window. The draps swayed with the draft in the dark room. Resting his head on his own arms, Aiden looked at the empty bed beside him. The bedsheets were wrinkled and when he touched them they were still warm and filled with Regina’s scent. Last night they shared this bed. He had been able to hold and cuddle her under the blankets. He wondered when the last time was that he had slept that well.
