Blaiz When we reached the bottom of the mountain, I had Antonio head toward town, but we didn’t see anything or anyone along the way. Upon reaching the city limits, I had Antonio turn around and head back the way we came. Our vehicle tracks were the only fresh tracks between town and the road leading up to the manor, and that remained the same going in the opposite direction as well. Every now and then I would feel the tires slide a little on black ice beneath the snow, and that only gave me more reason for concern.
