Tiselle I wanted the driver to take me back to the hotel at once, but he refused, insisting he had to wait for Mrs. Dubois. He was obviously a loyal driver, so I decided to leave the car and flagged down a taxi. Luckily, that didn’t take but a few seconds, since there was one just waiting for someone. I hopped in the back seat and choked out the words of the hotel room, then I buried my face in my hands. I felt completely mortified and embarrassed.
