Celeste’s POV
The next day, Clara and I set out to meet with Connie and then head to Twin Lake Pack.
“So where is she being held?” I ask.
“At the edge of the Maple Forest.” Clara says. Maple forest is at the very end of our territory, it’s almost on another pack land. We ride for a while before reaching a few abandoned buildings.
“These buildings used to be used to harvest the maple from the forest, but we’re abandoned after the land was sold to another pack. Now there’s no one out here.” Clara says. The carriage stops in front of one of the buildings and we get out. This is where Connie is being held captive? There is a strange odor in the air.
“My lady, Connie is in the basement, would you like to go there now?” Clara asks. In the basement. I’m not sure if I can do that.
