Christmas Eve proved to be a happy and intimate occasion for the Crellins and Dasha. Mawde and her family was present at the table with them, together with all the household staff. They ate and drank in the dining room, with the Christmas songs played in the background. Some of the staff danced and sang for them, after giving each other a Christmas candy they made themselves. Dasha was informed that it was a Crellin Christmas tradition. Since she had no idea about it, she was merely in the receiving end. She was so touched by it that her eyes became misty. How she wished she had some kind of a family Christmas tradition such as this, but of course, she had none. Desmond also gave each of them a gift before they ended their celebration around past two in the morning. Dasha gaped at him w
