The man who tried to stab Dasha was brought to the police. He was questioned and investigated. He was in garde à vue (police custody) for twenty-four hours. They could not get anything from the man, since he was mute and would not reveal anything. But right after he was released, he was found dead in his home.
Desmond and Dasha felt bad, as they would never know if it was just the man’s random attack or not. According to the police investigation, the said man killed himself, with a note that he was depressed and could not take anything anymore. The case was closed immediately.
