Julian grinned and pointed, “Our father requests your attention.” Seeing where their father was on the opposite side of the room, Onix started to pull Neveah closer until his little brother pushed, “Alone, I would say is best.” Knowing what was happening, Onix started to punch his brother, but his wife simply said, “Go, I’ll wait for you here.”
Onix was reluctant but when his father caught his eye and summoned him over he sighed and went to his side. Not liking the pit in her stomach and disappointment washing though her, Neveah met Julian’s eyes that weren’t evil. Just too eager to see whatever he had planned so as she asked, “What?”
