Ambrose was pacing outside the door of the delivery room in the infirmary because Caitlynn didn’t want him inside. Looking at him now makes me understand why. Neil and Ryder came running towards us. It seems like they were already asleep because they’re both looking like they just got out of the bed—wrinkled clothes and disheveled hair. “Is it done?” Ryder asked me. I shook my head. “She’s still inside with Ceira and Elisa,” I replied as I moved to the end of the bench so he could sit. “Were you already sleeping?” He sighed and nodded. “I was too exhausted with the training so I slept early.” He leaned on the backrest of the metal bench and closed his eyes, trying to sleep once more.
