I opened my eyes, feeling a lot better, but was shocked to see Pyro sitting on the floor. His head is on the bed. He’s sleeping while holding my hand. I slowly moved my head to look at the window and saw that it’s almost night time. The orange rays of the sun have finally taken over the blue skies.
I looked at Pyro again. His eyes are still closed. He’s still sleeping peacefully even in a difficult position. His waist will probably hurt when he wakes up.
I pursed my lips. I didn’t really think he would be here with me after pushing him away like that. But he’s here and his last words still linger inside my head now.
My heart is clenching in pain as I think about what he said before I fell into a peaceful slumber. He admitted that he’s a coward and I think I can attest to that.
