Things were different, the moment I told Enzo Lilly was my daughter he barely said two words to me. As soon as the words were out of my mouth I could see the color drain from his face. We packed our things in silence and sat with the rest of the family downstairs while we waited for the plane to return.
The plane journey home was very much the same, everyone seemed to be quieter than usual. I didn't know if it was the situation at hand or whether he had mind linked the rest of his family and told them about Lilly. Maybe it was all in my head, could it just be fear that Enzo now saw me as damaged goods? He knew I had boyfriends in the past the same as he did girlfriends, but having a child with someone other than your mate would be a disgrace.
