Elizabeth woke up a couple of times in the night, but Sawyer wasn’t beside her and he still wasn’t there when she finally woke up properly as the sun shone through the window onto her face making it impossible to sleep. It didn’t sound like anyone was there, but she knew he wouldn’t leave her alone. When she went downstairs, she saw he was sat at the dining table with his laptop on. He was still wearing the clothes he was the previous night and he had obviously not gone to sleep. He didn’t acknowledge her and she chose not to approach him while he seemed busy or concerned or both.
