“Where is Selene?”
Robin had ignored it when Elizabeth asked him at breakfast the next morning, but he couldn’t ignore the question when it came from Sawyer.
He didn’t like the fact he had to answer to someone else, but he knew he had to respond. He scowled across the kitchen table, taking a long sip of his drink before he did answer.
“She said she had something to do for her.”
“For Elizabeth?”
He nodded then stood up and left them alone in the kitchen.
“What does she need to do for you?” He sounded curious; there was no reason he could think of for Selene to disappear on her own to do something for Elizabeth without telling him.
