Francesca moved silently towards Elizabeth, and for a moment she was concerned that the often unreadable woman had betrayed them, or known this was going to happen. Instead, she put her arm rather protectively around Elizabeth’s shoulder and moved her away, turning to face a fast food restaurant that was situated at the entrance to the parking lot. The neon lights were bright and distracting, and Elizabeth knew better than to question what was happening or who this person was as she was gently but rather firmly led towards the place.
