My legs trembled when I heard the dreaded name of Alpha Damion. I had never seen the man, but his name alone was enough for us to feel the darkness entering our lives. The wind that was blowing through the forest stopped and the rustling trees became silent. In other words, the entire Willand stopped for a few seconds.
“Let him enter! No one needs to be afraid of him!” I heard Chris’s brave voice before he sent his left arm around my waist and lightly squeezed it to make me feel safe.
“Ch... Chris, he is here,” I whispered. Chris turned me to face him and kissed my forehead to make me feel calm.
