Chris’s POV
Inhaling deeply, I filled my lungs with her scent and felt my heart beat with passion because she was so close to me. A few loose strands from her hair bun tickled my face. My hands were aching to wrap around her and hide her in my warm embrace. All I wanted to do was feel her after so long.
“What are you waiting for, Chris? She is our mate! We deserve her. So, go and claim her, mark her!” Zeus was so impatient to claim her as ours, but it was not the right time yet.
“Relax, buddy. Now that we have her again, we can do it later. There is a big crowd here, so control yourself and don’t do anything that we might regret later,” I explained to Zeus and he replied with a low growl. I could finally understand how Brie would have fought with Lexi when she first saw me.
