In all the confusion and madness that follows, I can barely get a grip on what just happened. People are running and screaming, making it hard for me to see which direction the SUV took off in.
And since my first instinct is to go after whoever it was, I don't notice Sessy lying on the ground next to Amy until seconds later.
"No!" I scream, kneeling next to her. "Sessy! Sessy, wake up!"
I check for a pulse and thankfully, I feel one right away. I look over her blood spattered body, trying to figure out where her wound is. Her dress is black, making it hard for me to see just where the blood is coming from, or if it's even hers.
"Move out of the way!" A police officer says, clearing the crowd around us.
Another officer joins him and they push the people back into the courtyard
