Chapter 24- As Long as We’re Together

I've just finished a day long deep cleaning of grandma's house; something that was long overdue. I'm sweaty, exhausted and in desperate need of a shower, but all I can manage to do is fall face first into the sofa. For a while, I just keep my face buried in the cushion. When I need to breathe, I turn my head and stare at out the living room window, watching Tyler mow the lawn in the front yard. He's been so amazing lately. He just took a job with the Orleans Parish Child Services as a social worker. He works unpredictable hours, but he always makes time to help out around the house and spend time with me. Sometimes we go out, sometimes we stay in and hang out with grandma. I value all my time with both of them, since it will be limited after I leave for Baltimore next week. Somethin
