I immediately went to the lobby and checked in at the reception desk just in case anybody observed the suitcase I was carrying.
Please excuse me, but I would like to inquire about the possibility of someone turning over a suitcase here. I abandoned it in the vehicle. I was hoping that the driver would surrender it here, "I said to the receptionist."
Oh, yes, ma'am. Your luggage is here. "For a moment, I'll get it for you," the woman at the reception replied.
"Great! Thank you! "
It didn't take long before she went outside her working area to hand me my suitcase. "Here you go, ma'am."
As I walked back to the elevator, I glanced outside the hotel where Ava was last seen standing while talking over someone. I shrugged my shoulders when I noticed that she wasn't there anymore. Perh
