It felt good to be back home. It felt almost as if I hadn’t been gone. Yet, obviously, I had been gone. I had fallen under Dagan’s spell and I most certainly had hurt my family. Although no one had given up on me, it was pretty clear that they weren’t comfortable around me. Not even Riley. Now things were going haywire and how could I change it? How could I go back to how it used to be? I turned onto my back and stared up at the ceiling. Riley was with Kael and so, here I am, laying on my bed with horrible images flashing through my mind like a horror movie. I can’t stop it; I can’t pause it and worse of all I am playing the leading role. I was definitely not the hero of this story, nope, I gave that title to Jareth.
