34 - Home for the holidays

2163 Words

Myles had come to collect me from the airport and when we climb into the car I was so thankful that he didn’t seem to be in the mood to talk. I managed to sleep the whole drive back to mums place and I needed it. That flight had to have been one of the worst flights I have ever been on. Between the crying babies and the arguing about a spilt drink. I will definitely be buying noise cancelling earphones for the journey back to New York. I have never heard that much noise on a flight in my life. Anyway, thankful to be in the comfort of my family home and smelling my mother’s famous shepherd’s pie, I will not complain any further. As we ate dinner, we talked and got up to date with everything happening here, while they all asked questions about my life in New York after they had visited.
