It was cold in my detention cell. I am sitting on the floor, back on the wall and knees to my chest, with four women and they all looked like they have already adapted to the life inside. I have only been here for a few hours but I am already hating it.   “What’s your case?” the short-haired woman asked me. I pursed my lips. “Uhm…arson and homicide,” I replied reluctantly because I don’t know if I should trust them. She nodded and moved to sit beside me. I swallowed, slightly nervous that she suddenly sat next to me. “I’m Lorena,” she introduced herself. “I was the new one before you came,” she added. I stared at her because I didn’t know if I would smile. “Carrie,” I replied and she nodded. “I’ve been here for two days,” she said and then nodded at the three women who are playing
