Alena’s P.O.V
I woke to an empty bed. I sighed to myself; Ryker hasn’t done that for a while, leaving without saying goodbye. I had a gut feeling it was to do with what he shared with me last night. I knew there was something, something that had made him the way he was. I never thought for a second it would be because of everything that he told me. My heart broke for him but made me understand him more. It made me realise why he doesn’t let anyone in; he was scared because he never trusted anyone.
I grabbed my phone for two reasons. One to check the time, the other too see if Ryker texts me or not. There was nothing from him. It was close to midday, thank God I wasn’t meant to be working early, or Natalie would be kicking my ass. All we had today was soundcheck and the show tonight. I
